Preamble
.
These are the seminar notes in brief
Harrogate
Let’s look at it this way, the only way; if we (our nation) becomes the target of a ‘colour revolution’ ** and there are those so inclined via programmes of indoctrination, training in 4th. generation warfare tactics put into operation via a foreign power – theoretically, what are we likely to be facing?
** see note below on ‘colour revolution’
(i) Those who are determined will want to fight against us
(ii) Those who have decided that we, the ruling power, must be overthrown and replaced
(iii) Via a process of armed insurrection
As a consequence the question we have to examine is; What should we expect to face in this?
The forces at our disposal are powerful, in comparison the military strength of the insurrection / ‘resistance network’ would expectedly be much weaker.
What strategies are the ‘resistance network’ likely to adopt against us? This is where the techniques of our fighting in / against a guerilla war theatre enters in.
Typical types of attack :
To hit us and run
To carry out repeated strikes
And to disappear
The intention is to demoralise us while increasing of their support takes place. Would be become demoralised? The answer is no.
So what are the principle methods of struggle we must understand, the principles that underpin any and all forces levelled against us?

** Colour revolution. In brief here.
Society becomes targetted en-masse following the decision to initiate destabilisation.
Society consists basically of; the population, the media, the elite structure, the military / police, the leadership.
The goal of the colour revolution is to seize power and overthrow a state’s leadership. In order to be effective the process gathers the population into a swarm and has them overwhelm public institutions (govt) – striking at the centre and circumventing the rest.
The elite structure owns the power to influence the media and the populace but not necessarily the military or the police. Anti-govt. media can make uncontrollability and hesitance in defending themselves from a colour revoltion coup attempt. This is not the deciding factor in whether or not the govt. is overthrown.
The next concurrent target of the colour revolution is the individual – via attempts to seize the psyche of as many as is possible.
Granting license to state authorities to kill suspected enemies of the state will not appeal to those sensitive to human rights.
On the other hand, one simply cannot dismiss out of hand the parallel drawn by the states involved in the legitimate killing of enemy combatants during an armed conflict and the targetting of active members of terrorists organisations which have for all intents and purposes declared war on these states.
